Went in for a replacement for the known defective navigation disc in my CX-5. I thought it would be a 30 second fix, trade one disc for the next but was informed that they needed to update all of the software onto the disc so that's why it took a bit longer than expected. Totally reasonable explanation. The problem was fixed and I went on my merry way.

The service department took my car right away. The person behind the counter, I believe his name was Mike Aktay, was very personable with a good sense of humor. They had me out in one hour which was what the recall said it probably would take.
The best part about going to Garden City Mazda is dealing with Mike...what a great guy. Mike knows my routine...after checking in, I leave my backpack with Mike and go for a walk. Mike has my cell number if he needs to call me. This time round, the weather was bad...couldn't walk so Mike directed me to the waiting for bagels. Also, the lady (sorry, forgot her name) who takes the payment is really nice and friendly.
Made a same day appointment for a NYS inspection. The service was fast, and convenient. Easy to wait in the customer waiting area and enjoyed the coffee and bagel.
